2020 Summer Ski Training Schedule

Week of July 13

 

Monday – July 13

Cross country skiing – no practice.  Sorry!  Another meeting. 

During the day: 

Morning – Stretch and go for a 25 minute run or bike ride.  In the last 10 minutes of the run/ride, do 4 x 10 second pickups (go fast!).  Run/bike really easily & slowly In between each pickup.   

Evening – Do 1 x 30-second front plank; 2 x 30-second side planks (one on each side); 2 x 30 telemark jumps,  2 x 30 side-to-side jumps, and 10 pushups.. 

Tuesday – July 14

Ski jumping – 6:30 – 8:00 pm.   Be ready at 6:30 pm to do team stretches and immos first.  That means get to the Ski Bowl a few minutes before 6:30pm to have your temperature taken. 

Wednesday – July 15

Cross country skiing – 6:30 pm.  Evening hike up Hogback Mtn. Bring your short ski poles, water bottle & carrier (or a backpack).  Meet at the Gravel Pit/Hogback Mtn trailhead (located on CR 550, across the road from the Wetmore Landing trailhead parking). 

Thursday – July 16

Ski jumping – 6:30 – 8:00 pm.  Be ready at 6:30 pm to do team stretches and immos first.  That means get to the Ski Bowl a few minutes before 6:30pm to have your temperature taken. 

Friday – July 17

Cross country skiing – Pizza ski.  6:00 – 7:00 pm.  Meet at WEST (West End Ski & Trail) 118 E. Pearl St., Ishpeming. We will order pizza for after the ski.

Saturday – July 18

Ski jumping –10:00 – 11:30 pm.  Be ready at 10:00 am to do team stretches and immos first.  That means get to the Ski Bowl a few minutes before 10:00am to have your temperature taken.
